Taylor Blackwood Associates are now recruiting for a Printing Machinist for our client near the Cannock area.

As an industry-leading manufacturer in their sector, they are always looking for better ways of doing things and lead the way for innovation.

Previous printing experience is essential for this temporary to permanent role.

Job Duties are to:

Help set up and operate print machinery to optimum levels in a safe working manner, ensuring that the machinery and surrounding area are maintained in line with required health, safety, environmental standards.
Operate machine to manufacture company products ready for dispatch.

Responsibilities:

Ensure all work is carried out safely.
Ensure all equipment is in a safe and serviceable condition.
Enforce and promote safety and housekeeping in your area of work.
To report safety and hazard faults.
Ensure customer quality standards are maintained at all times.
Ensure a rapid response to machine failures and breakdowns and inform relevant departments.
Keep Line Manager informed of work progress.
Ensure cleaning schedules are rigidly adhered to and meet the agreed schedule (daily, weekly, monthly and quarterly checks).

Working hours:

For the first couple of weeks you will work on a day shift to be trained on the machine.

You will then start working here on a
14:00 - 22:00 shift,
Monday to Friday. After a successful period of time (minimum of 12 weeks) you will be awarded a permanent contract with our client.
