This post is full time, 35 hours per week and fixed term until 31 October 2025.


We are looking to recruit a Research Fellow to join the Research Centre for Optimal Health, in the School of Life Sciences at the University of Westminster, to work on a research project funded by a biotech company.


As a key member of a multidisciplinary team, led by Professor Jimmy Bell and Dr Brandon Whitcher, you will be involved in a variety of projects to create new imaging biomarkers and expand the utility of these biomarkers to the entire UK Biobank population.

The combination of the latest datasets, such as metabolomics and primary care data, with the rich collection of imaging and non
- imaging measurements will be used to answer scientific questions of interest. You will manage your own academic research, coordinate both internally and externally with collaborators, and produce manuscripts for submission to leading scientific journals.


Our research team follows a hybrid work structure where employees can work remotely or from the office, as needed, based on specific tasks or personal preferences.
