We have 164 pupils at Downs View School (aged 4 to 16) and have needs related to SLD/PMLD/ASC and complex needs.
We currently have a vacancy for Staffing Administrator to work alongside staff and students at Downs View School in Woodingdean.
About the role:
We are looking for an organised, motivated, flexible and committed
individual that can support us with the administration and organisation of core and often complex Staffing activities with a particular focus on:
- Supporting the Deputy Head on organisation and management of daily and lunchtime staffing at the school including liaising with and booking casual support staff, agency staff and recruitment agencies
- Supporting the Play Leader on organisation of daily staffing and resources for the new After School Club including managing cover for absences
- Providing admin support across a number of core HR processes including return to work interviews, attendance management, recruitment support and other general admin support
We are looking for people who have:
- Strong administrative and excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Highly organised and able to multitask and find solutions to complex issues
- HR experience, in particular around supporting staff wellbeing and managing attendance
- Good understanding of the safer recruitment process
- A positive and proactive approach to all tasks, acting as a strong and reliable support to the Senior Leadership Team
- Have the ability to prioritise, to work accurately and pay attention to detail
- Have the ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Excellent knowledge of a range of ICT packages including Microsoft Office and Office 36
- Good working knowledge of school MIS systems and previous experience of working within a school/academy/college office would be advantageous
- Good organisational and time management skills and able to use your own initiative
- Flexible, adaptable and understand what makes a good team
