Are you interested in supporting people who are waiting for surgery to wait well, and to prepare for their operation?

Are you a passionate and experienced volunteer coordinator?

Do you want to help people access the resources and clinical teams that will help them to wait well?

Are you interested in coordinating a team of volunteers that will be talking to patients, helping patients to navigate and access city wide resources that will help them to prepare for an operation?

If so, we need you.

We are looking for an experienced individual to help recruit and coordinate volunteer to help patients who are waiting for a planned care procedure to access the care and support they need to wait well and to be in the best shape possible for admission.

The post holder will be part of the Shape Up 4 Surgery movement at Leeds Teaching Hospitals, empowering and encouraging patients to prepare for their operations, access the care and support they need to remain well, and active.

This role is availble as a secondment to LTHT staff memebers.
