HGV Instructor


Working time: 6am until 2.30pm Monday to Friday and Saturday AM (flexibility is required (44 hours a week) based in Standish, Wigan.


Salary:
£35,500.00 per annum

Craig Baker Driving Training is one of the largest driving schools in the North West. We have an excellent reputation and we are recruiting for a HGV Instructor to join our team.

We will support you with the required training and development to enhance your personal and professional development.

You will need to maintain a high standard of professionalism and flexibility at all times.


Responsibilities:


  • Carry out daily vehicle checks on training vehicles
  • Carry out driver assessments
  • Maintain records for training in accordance with company policy and awarding body standard
  • Provide a vibrant, engaging and positive approach to training, with strong awareness for legislation and following company policy
  • To maintain a high standard of professionalism at all times
  • To keep up to date with industry standards
  • Adherence to company policies and procedures

Requirements of the HGV Instructor:


  • Previous experience in HGV training is desirable
  • 3 years + of Class 1 experience
  • CPC examiner qualification is desirable
  • Advanced driving qualification would be advantageous
  • Desirable JAUPT Accredited Driver CPC course trainer
  • Understanding of the DVSA requirements
  • Proficient in MS office (word, excel, ppt)
  • Excellent communicator, good understanding of the English language
  • Ability to work within a team and also use own initiative
  • Must have attention to detail


The successful applicant will be required to undertake appropriate checks as well as providing proof of right to work in the UK.


Salary:
£35,500.00 per year
