To provide HR support to the Leadership team and People Managers, taking an active role in contributing towards developing HR solutions to issues identified in conjunction with the Human Resources Business Partner (HRBP) and People Director.


Role purpose:


The role will act as support for the internal HR team working closely with the People Director, HRBPs and Learning and Development Manager providing support in coordinating critical case work, recruitment, policy and process updates, learning, training and development.


Key responsibilities and accountabilities:


  • Maintenance of HR policies, processes and
  • Working closely with the enabling partner to ensure ways of working remain consistent
  • Management and running of quarterly and annual engagement and cultural surveys
  • Work closely with leadership teams and people managers on development and maintenance of engagement action plans
  • Maintenance and development of desired cultural values and organisation behaviours
  • Work with the Learning and Development Manager to maintain and refresh the CITB corporate training plans
  • Management and administration of colleague induction
  • Responsible for the coordination and administration of employee forum meetings

Knowledge and Experience:


Essential

  • Associate member of CIPD (Level 5 qualification) with proven experience of operating at HR Advisor level
  • Experience of managing stakeholders in a diverse business
  • Knowledge of HR good practice and how it is applied
  • Experience of providing support and advisory services in employee relations areas such as, first level discipline, grievance, performance and attendance management
  • Recruitment experience

Desirable

  • Chartered member of CIPD (Level 7 qualification)
  • Experience and knowledge of working with HR standards, benchmarking and performance indicators

Special Conditions/Other Requirements:


  • Full driving Licence
  • Some antisocial hours required, usually travel related
  • UK wide travel, not expected to be frequent
