Meadow Rose Care Home, located in Birmingham, we know it's our privilege to care for people - supporting them to live with dignity and independence.

Right now, we're looking for a caring and organised individuals to join us as a Kitchen Assistant to help us be the positive difference to our resident's lives.


WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR
A passion for food with previous experience working in a kitchen. Be able to deliver an excellent service at each meal and make our residents feel at home.

Be able to understand the importance of maintaining high standards in and around the home, ensuring our residents enjoy a pleasant dining experience.

Working with the wider kitchen and care home teams - you're comfortable communicating with others, cherishing the little moments with our residents.


WHAT WILL YOUR ROLE INCLUDE?

  • To cook and serve both hot and cold food and to meet any dietary requirements of the residents
  • Assisting the Chef with meal preparation
  • To ensure that all kitchen equipment and kitchen areas are cleaned according to the cleaning schedules.
  • To ensure statutory and Company Health and Safety Regulations are adhered to.
  • To ensure correct storage of all dry and perishable cook chill goods as soon as possible after receipt and checking.
  • To ensure the correct, safe storage of cleaning materials.
  • To ensure that all pots, pans, cooking utensils and service counter containers are cleaned to the required standards and correctly stored after cleaning.
  • Carry out any other reasonable instructions given by the Head Chef and/or Home Manager.
