Description

Volta Trucks, a hypergrowth European Electric Truck Manufacturer, is looking for a Project Planner to join our PMO team. This is a hybrid role split between our site in Reading, and remote working.

This is a unique opportunity to join an ambitious scale-up where you will have the opportunity to contribute to the manufacturing strategy for a forward thinking, rapidly expanding business.

Our PMO function exists to provide a consistent and structured approach to Programme Management here at Volta Trucks. This covers process definition, delivery of programmes and adaptations to suit our customers' demands.

We'd like you to:

Support the programme lead in the definition and maintenance of the project high level plan (HLP), and analysis of the critical paths and the interdependencies of the plans.
When required, lead key project meetings to track the progress / status of the project and its subelements and steer the Team toward project objectives.
Support PMO leads/management in ensuring clear reporting of programme metrics such as releases, concerns and overall project health.
Work closely with PLM to support change management forums and in cycle updates to products where applicable.
Facilitate the running of key events / gateways for the major milestones of the various programmes
Support with running forums and collation of Lessons Learned, ensuring full compliance with Volta NPI requirements and proactively promoting adoption of improvements for future Volta vehicle projects

We'd like you to have:

Knowledge of Program Management tools and methodologies experience of Atlassian products including JIRA is highly desirable.
Previous experience related to high complexity products and multidisciplinary job environment.
Proven track record in delivering projects and thorough understanding of automotive business model and product development process
Critical, factual and data driven approach based on knowledge of problem solving and causeeffects analysis methodologies with an ability to clearly present findings
Automotive experience preferable. Aerospace, Defence or Locomotive industries also considered (Desirable)
