We have been appointed to exclusively support our long-standing client to recruit a
Media and Marketing Lead, to join their team on a Fixed Term, Part time basis until April 2024.

Our client is a leading children's charity across Scotland, preventing harm towards children whilst supporting to build stronger families.

Head of Communications and Engagement

Edinburgh possibility of Glasgow


Salary
£28,851 to £33,680 per annum Pro Rata

21 hours per week


Role Purpose


You will be responsible for the production of creative and compelling editorial, video, and digital content for a wide range of communications channels.


Key Responsibilities

  • Be the main lead for media and marketing for specific projects
  • Develop and deliver, media and marketing activities to increase awareness and engagement among all audiences
  • Production of video and digital content for a wide range of communication channels
  • Deliver and evaluate the communication plans for local and national projects
  • Support the Head of Communications and Marketing to develop internal communications strategy
  • Increase companies' profile in the media
  • Planning press conferences, maintain and develop strong connections with UK and Scottish based journalists whilst participating in the out of hours press enquiries rota
  • Participate in the children's sector and charity communications network in Scotland
  • Deliver, develop, and evaluate other activity communications and strategic objectives

Key Skills

  • Considerable experience of producing a wide range of publications, materials, film, and photography for multiple audiences, using different channels and platforms, including print and broadcast, digital and social media
  • Experienced in using communications software tools, including CRM, CMS, desktop publishing, editing software
  • Persuasive communication skills (both written and oral)
  • Highly organised with strong attention to detail and accuracy
  • Flexible and adaptable to change, strong critical thinking skills
  • A collaborator
  • Enthusiastic and initiativetaking

The team is based in Edinburgh with a requirement to travel to other locations as required.

There is also the option to be based in our clients Glasgow (Pollok) Hub with one day a week regular travel to Edinburgh on a Wednesday.
