Maintenance Plumber - Facilities Management - Bank, London.


My client is one of the UK's leading maintenance service providers, currently seeking an intelligent and personable Maintenance Plumber to cover the maintenance operations across a static commercial setting, joining a modern and forward thinking business operating in the Bank region.


This role would suit an individual that can work using their own initiative and have a proactive approach to undertake all tasks required, a conscientious and reliable team player and someone who has excellent interpersonal and communication skills.


Maintenance Plumber Job Specification:


  • Install and connect water supply lines, drainage systems, and fixtures in residential, commercial, and industrial buildings.
  • Assemble and install pipes, valves, fittings, and other plumbing equipment.
  • Repairs and Maintenance: Diagnose and repair plumbing issues, such as leaks, clogs, and malfunctioning fixtures.
  • Conduct routine maintenance to ensure the proper functioning of plumbing systems.
  • Inspections: Inspect plumbing systems to identify potential issues or areas of concern.
  • Assess the condition of pipes, fixtures, and other components.
  • Troubleshooting: Analyse and troubleshoot problems within plumbing systems.
  • Determine the root cause of issues and develop effective solutions.

Other Trades:

Coordinate and collaborate with other construction professionals, such as electricians and HVAC technicians, to ensure the integration of various building systems.


  • Emergency Callout: Respond to emergency plumbing situations, such as burst pipes, severe leaks, or other urgent issues that require immediate attention.
  • Compliance with Codes and Regulations: Stay informed about local plumbing codes and regulations.
  • Ensure that all plumbing work complies with legal requirements and safety standards.
  • Customer Interaction: Communicate with clients to understand their plumbing needs and explain the work that needs to be done.
  • Use of Tools and Equipment: Utilise a variety of tools and equipment, including wrenches, pipe cutters, soldering irons, and pipe threading machines, to perform plumbing tasks.

Maintenance Plumber Salary & Package:


  • Up to £42,000 Per Annum + Overtime Available
  • Monday-Friday
  • 07:00 | 08:0017:00 | 09:0018:00
  • 25 days Annual Leave + Bank Holidays
  • Company Penson + 3% Employer Contribution
  • Probation: Six Months

The Person:


  • Level 2 or 3 Mechanical/ Plumbing Qualification
  • Basic Electrical and/ or Mechanical HVAC Knowledge/ Experience.
  • Demonstrate Strong Communication and People Skills due to client facing role.
  • Career driven, looking for next step in career ladder.
