About the Role:
As a Care Worker, you will be responsible for providing high-quality care and support to individuals in need. You will play a crucial role in enhancing their quality of life and promoting their independence.
Your day-to-day duties will include:
- Assisting with personal care tasks such as bathing, dressing, and grooming.
- Supporting individuals with mobility and transfers, ensuring their safety and comfort.
- Administering medication and keeping accurate records.
- Assisting with meal preparation and ensuring dietary requirements are met.
- Engaging in meaningful activities with clients, promoting social interaction and mental stimulation.
- Monitoring and reporting any changes in clients' health or behavior.
- Providing emotional support and companionship to individuals, fostering a positive and caring environment.
- Maintaining a clean and safe living environment for clients.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
To excel in this role, the following skills and qualifications are required:
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills to build rapport with clients, their families, and the care team.
- Empathy and patience to provide compassionate care and support to individuals with diverse needs.
- Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team, following care plans and instructions.
- Excellent observation skills and attention to detail to identify any changes in clients' conditions.
- Reliability and flexibility to work various shifts, including weekends and evenings.
- Basic knowledge of health and safety regulations in a care setting.
- Driving license would be ideal but not essential.
