JOB TITLE:
Charity and Events Administrator


CONTRACT:
Permanent, Full Time (35 hours per week, Monday to Friday)

ORGANISATION:
Royal Life Saving Society UK (RLSS UK)

LOCATION:
RLSS UK HQ, Red Hill House, 227 London Road, Worcester, WR5 2JG (Office Based)

REPORTS TO:
Senior Head of Membership and Field Operations


SALARY:
Circa £19,800


KEY TASKS & RESPONSIBILTIES

Administration

  • Support with administration for RLSS UK events and campaigns
  • Managing the distribution of resources to our branches, lifesaving clubs and volunteers
  • Supporting with the administration of national lifesaving sport events
  • Working with the team to ensure RLSS UK volunteers are appropriately thanked and recognised through our annual Honours event and ongoing William Henry Awards Scheme
  • Helping with the procurement of products and services from external suppliers and liaising with the Finance Team to arrange purchase, ordering and delivery
  • Recording and following up meeting actions
  • Collation of information for updates, bulletins, and reports
  • Providing general administration support to the RLSS UK Charity Team

General

  • To demonstrate and uphold the Society's values and behavioural standards at all times
  • Ensure compliance with UK GDPR and the Data Protection Act 2018 by complying with internal information governance policies and maintaining up to date documentation as part of RLSS UK's compliance programme
  • Proactively participate in the Society's equality, diversity, and inclusion (EDI) initiatives and training, and to promote a culture of respect and inclusion for all staff and customers

PERSON SPECIFICATION

Essential Relevant Experience, Skills and/or Aptitudes

  • Strong organisational skills, with the ability to multitask and manage priorities
  • Good written and verbal communication skills
  • Excellent team player with a cando attitude
  • Experience of working with Microsoft Office, in particular Excel
  • Good attention to detail
  • Selfstarter
  • Ability to work under pressure at certain times during the deliver of projects and events

Desirable Relevant Experience, Skills and/or Aptitudes

  • Experience in a customer facing role
  • Experience of working and communicating with volunteers and/or members
  • Knowledge and understanding of RLSS UK
  • Ability to work occasional weekends to support events
