This is a great opportunity to join our Operations team as a Team Leader for AMS Commercial Heat Exchangers.

Reporting to the Production Supervisor, you will be responsible for coordinating shop staff and work to ensure customer demands are fulfilled, ensuring OTD is met and high levels of customer satisfaction.

Key Responsibilities:


  • On Time Delivery (OTD), Cost and Quality to the customer.
  • To ensure all employees are adhering to the Company Health & Safety and Environmental policies.
  • Assist with real time problem resolution and troubleshooting issues as they arise without the direction of management
  • Monitor cell performance, maximizing performance from your team and equipment.
  • Effectively manage resource requirements in line with capacity models and demand rates
  • Must be an excellent team player and confident communicator at all levels.
  • Ability to work calmly under pressure.
  • Occasionally the Team Leader will be required to carry out tasks outside their normal reemit so flexibility is essential.
  • Carry out / assist with Tier 1 meetings
  • Releasing work orders as required
  • Adherence to TPM activity, plan to minimize downtime
  • On Time Delivery (OTD), Cost and Quality to the customer.
  • Assist with resource / capacity & skills matrix reviews
  • Identify / Assist Cost reduction opportunity and drive improvements within the cell.
  • Drive utilization to >90% across your cell

Minimum Requirements:


  • Apprentice trained City & Guilds or equivalent / time served experience with minimum demonstrable industry experience Leadership skills (advantageous)
  • Excellent communication skills Organization abilities
  • Basic Computer Literacy / MS office tools essential SAP experience advantageous
