Part time 18 Hours Per Week


I am recruiting for a local authority who is looking for someone to cover frontline services and support the library team.

Job Role

Promotion of books and reading, working proactively on reader development, including participation in nationwide reading.


Promote a positive image as a service provider to the local community, working to ensure all customers receive an efficient, effective and high quality service.

Supporting up to 70+ volunteers.


Provide full and accurate information to customers in a friendly and welcoming environment, and deal with the majority of enquiries without referring on.

Provide first line access to customer's for all library, council and voluntary services.


Work with Senior Library Assistants to deliver the library 3 year strategy, the Annual Library Plan and achieve agreed library and branch key targets.
