Our client is a motor design and manufacturing company that in the past has worked across a range of different business sectors including motor racing, marine, aerospace, industrial, and many more.

The company is in the expansion phase to take its servicesto the fast-growing electrical motor industry to the next level.

The role will be to work on projects from prototyping to high volume production. Responsible design bespoke solutions to aid with the manufacture of electric motors. The solutions you createwill be broad, covering manual jigs and fixtures through to full automated manufacturing cells.

  • Degree or equivalent in mechanical engineering with at least a two of years experience in a design and development environment.
  • Experienced user of SolidWorks CAD software package with the ability to create design concepts and fully dimensioned drawings working to BS8888 with best practice geometric tolerances and key characteristics.
  • The ability to conduct and understand the mechanical Finite Element Analysis (FEA) studies and propose solutions and improvements to the design issues.
  • Experience with tooling and fixtures design.
  • Understanding the machining process such as grinding, milling, etc.
  • Experience on prototyping and tooling using 3D Printing technology.
  • Customer facing communication and demonstration.
  • Materials and Parts Procurement Experience
  • Project Management Experience.
