Leicestershire Police are currently looking to recruit a Fraud Evaluator to join the Economic Crime Unit, Volume Fraud Team on a permanent full-time basis.


As a Fraud Evaluator you will work within the terms of relevant legislation in relation to the evaluation and investigation planning of complex and serious financial crime.

You will evaluate Fraud referrals to determine whether it is proportionate to undertake a criminal investigation.


Key Accountabilities

To evaluate and provide Investigative planning for Fraud & Financial crime where required and directed:

To provide support to the Force in all matters relating to Fraud & Financial Crime investigation:

-
To identify fraud reports which do not meet the viability threshold after evaluation

The must haves
-
To be educated to A level and/or have substantial experience in a relevant field:

-
To have completed/be prepared to undertake and pass the Specialist Fraud Investigation Programme:

-
Have a detailed knowledge of the Fraud Act 2006 and Bribery Act 2010
:

-
Have proven experience of evidence gathering techniques in complex operations and of preparing prosecution files
:

Have significant experience of investigating serious crime in particular serious and complex fraud investigations, conducting interviews and investigation standards.
