Job Overview

  • To protect our customer's property, people and/or assets by providing security services in direct accordance with the sites published Assignment Instructions (AI's) and any subsequent changes.
  • Delivering results that meet and / or exceed the Key performance indicators / Service Level Agreement for the customer through full responsibility and accountability, providing a service that aids in the retention of the contract.
  • To undertake additional training to ensure continuous selfdevelopment.

Main Duties

  • The responsibilities of Operations Supervisor are:
Operations

  • To be the initial customer contact for all daily operational security, Fire, Health and Safety related matters across all sites within the contract.
  • Ensure compliance with KPI requirements, minimising associated risks to the Company and to the Customer.
  • To provide first line response to all incidents, fire, security and health & safety and manage these in accordance with laid down procedures.
  • Ensure manning of all sites is at required levels, with regular shift patterns worked by trained and qualified staff.
  • Ensure, all staff work in safe conditions, acting upon all reports of accidents and faults, and that staff carry out their duties in accordance with procedures and policies.
  • To provide operational and management support to all sites within the contract.
- ensuring that all staffs are fully trained and competent in their roles and carrying out their required duties.
- equipment is managed, used, monitored and report defective in accordance with policies and procedures.
- all incidents are managed and respond to in accordance with policies and procedures.

  • While most of your duties will be Nights and Days, it is expected that you maybe require to work on dayshift only if operation or client require it.
  • Conduct regular operational emergencies exercises to include, fire alarm activation drills, Lockdowns, workplace violence, power outage, flood, security incidents, medical emergency etc.

Staff Management

  • Ensure, appropriate motivation, development and training of staff to meet contractual needs and individual needs where required.
  • Ensure all staff carry out their duties in accordance with procedures and policies.
  • Establish and manage a security section which is well turned out, motivated, wellinformed, focused and clear about its role and objectives.
  • Maintain fair and consistent disciplinary procedures up to level of initial investigation and recommend next level of action to the Shift Coordinator.
  • Ensure that all staff grievances are dealt with according to Company procedures.
  • Effectively manage and reduce absence.
Equipment

  • Control use of radios, pagers, patrol recorders and other equipment, ensuring regular audits are carried out.
  • Ensure lawful, safe, efficient and economical use and recording of all supplies and consumables
Administration

  • Provide accurate and timely information for the preparation of reports and planning.
  • Ensure provision of adequate information for proper personnel administration of employees.
  • Ensure compliance with legal, Company and contractual obligations at all sites, such as the General Data Protection Regulations, Health and Safety at Work Act, procedures outlined in the Company handbook, Standing Instructions, Assignment Instructions.
  • Maintain accurate and correct documentation and update as required.
  • Ensure all documents and request are processed to acceptable client audit guidelines
  • Carry out complete operational audit at least once during your 4 shifts pattern.
  • Carry out daily pass admin reconciliation to ensure all discrepancies are accounted for or escalate for apprioprate remedial action.
  • Monthly archive of all operational paper works for audit purpose.

Competencies:


  • Previous experience of operating at Team Leader level and above

  • preferable:
  • Good demonstrable previous costumer care experience

  • preferable:
  • Excellent communication skills (both written and verbal)
  • Effective decision making
  • Strong people management and leadership skills
  • Effective time management & organisational skills
  • Good working knowledge of security and fire systems
  • Ability to use all Microsoft products and be able to create spreadsheets and managing data
  • Previous experience of conducting audits and preparing client reports

  • preferable:
  • Experience of dealing with a range of HR issues

  • preferable:
  • Excellent knowledge of GDPR and the use of personal data **preferable
