Job Overview

We are a busy Dental Practice located in Stevenage town center seeking a dedicated Cleaner to join our team and utilise the customised commercial cleaning checklist to perform all tasks to a high standard.

High cleaning standards are always to be maintained.


Responsibilities:

• To perform high quality cleaning procedures, whilst working in a safe and effective manner, in accordance with the 'Code of Ethics' of the British Association of Dentists and the GDC requirements and recommendations to dentists and their staff. The performance of these duties is under the reasonable direction of the Principle or Practice Manager.
• To ensure that all areas of the practice are regularly cleaned, paying attention to the practice policy in respect of cross infection and Health and Safety.
• Use a range of cleaning items and products, following C.O.S.H.H. guidelines at all times.
• To clean all areas of the practice, including all patient areas, such as bathroom, waiting room and reception, all staff areas, such as bathroom and staff room/kitchen, all surgeries, as well as the walkways to a high standard
• Clean down sides and work surfaces in reception, waiting room and staff room/kitchen
• Hoover and mop walkways, waiting room, reception, staff room/kitchen, washrooms and surgeries
• Pay attention to dusting skirting boards and tops of picture frames
• Cleaning out kitchen appliances (Fridge / Microwave)
• Empty all bins
• Obey all confidentiality and Data Protection guidelines
• Inform Practice Manager of cleaning stock that needs to be ordered
• Notify the Practice Manager of any repairs or defects on the premises that require attention.

• The ability to work alone, efficiently and effectively

• Honest, trustworthy and reliable
• The ability to motivate yourself

DBS and vaccination of Hepatitis B required.


Hours (14):
Monday - Thursday 2.5 hrs after the practice closes at 6 pm

Fridays - 4 hrs after the practices closes at 5 pm or over the weekend.

£12.00 per hour
