Commercial 12 month Internship Program

Internship positions provide an opportunity for life science students to get hands on experience in a technical and commercial environment.

We possess the desire, attitude and drive to work in a commercial environment.

The 12-month Application Specialist internship is designed to offer the opportunity to develop experience with our Single Use Technologies product portfolio and introduce you to technical and commercial skills while conducting meaningful work supporting the Field Application Specialist team.

A Day in the Life

We support our customers with Thermo Fisher Scientific Single Use Technologies solutions collaborating closely with the Field Application Specialists, Technical Sales Specialists, Account Managers, Manufacturing, Quality and Customer Care teams among others.

The engagement and level of commitment will ensure that our clients will get the right selection of products that will fit their current and future needs.

Students required to complete a 12month internship

Experience

Strong desire and motivation to develop a career in an engineering related field
Leadership and team building skills
Hardware up keeping and management
Reviewing technical drawings and documents
Ability to work independently and as a member of a multifunctional team
Willingness to learn, be mentored, and improve
Customer focus (experience in a customer facing setting preferred)
Previous laboratory experience is desirable
Experience with managing databases preferred
Track record of meeting deadlines
Organization and prioritization skills
Accuracy and attention to detail is required in performing all functions of this position.
Excellent written and oral communications skills are required.
