Working in partnership with schools, Greater Manchester Police, Manchester City Council, and other partners, we provide highly successful, flexible, and targeted approaches to youth work and educational exclusion.

About the Charity


N-Gage is a Manchester based charity that gives young people at risk of educational or social exclusion opportunities and skills to achieve their full potential.

Working in partnership with schools, Greater Manchester Police, Manchester City Council, and other partners, we provide highly successful, flexible, and targeted approaches to youth work and educational exclusion.

The charity was founded by Christie Spurling MBE, FRSA in 2006 in response to his own experiences of educational exclusion and the care system.


What We Do
N-Gage operates across various communities in Greater Manchester in the following ways:

  • Own and operate a Youth vehicle.
  • Youth Centre offering a weekly youth club session.
  • Holiday clubs.
  • Detached youth work.
  • Activity weeks and residentials.
  • Schools work: working in local schools with pupils who may be struggling for a variety of reasons.
  • Family support work.

Responsibilities

  • Sending schools our brochure
  • Calling schools to make appointments for CEO to meet.
  • Researching key staff, who we need to speak to
  • Researching MATs

Skills/Experience:


Essential

  • Excellent communications skills.
  • Ability to manage busy workloads, identify priorities, project manage and meet targets/deadlines.
  • Administration experience, IT skills and knowledge of Microsoft Packages.
  • Can work flexibly and attend N-Gage events, networking events and conferences.
  • Ideally someone with experience in education, a retiree, or someone who is disillusioned and wants to get out of frontline education but still wants to work in the field
  • Someone with a sales/marketing background who could be taught about education
  • Hard working, works well alone or as part of team, can take instructions, driven and wants to make a difference.

Desirable

  • Experience in developing new systems to completion.
  • Experience in identifying specific opportunities.
  • Experience in social media and marketing.
  • Experience in education

Job Types:
Part-time, Fixed term contract, Freelance

Contract length: 3-6 months


Pay:
£10.00-£15.00 per hour
