Contact: Rupanzel D'Souza- We are looking for Housing Officer, based in the areas of Bristol.

This is a permanent vacancy offered on a full-time basis, with hybrid work options and an annual salary from £22, £34,000.00 per annum.


Extensive travel will be involved so successful applicant must hold a valid Full UK Driving Licence with access to own vehicle.

You will be responsible for:

  • Manage a portfolio of service users within the Contingency initial accommodations
  • Ensure appropriate actions to register SUs with doctors, schools for under16s
  • Ensure signposting to shops, support agencies, etc
  • Conduct monthly visits and ensure outstanding incidents reports are raise and SUs are being assisted to access support.
  • Ensure SU's are Moved On no later than the last day as detailed within UKVI letter
  • Ensure that health and safety of SU's are maintained at all times
  • Complete specific number welfare checks per month as directed by team leader prioritising the most vulnerable
  • Inspect your portfolio of properties once a month and report defects as required
  • Ensure all items within property are replaced /repaired as required in line with inventory procedure
  • Make recommendations to line manager regarding any relocations of SU's and termination of properties to provide more efficient use of portfolio/void management
  • Ensure the properties are maintained according to Health and Safety guidelines and company procedures
  • Ensure stocks of documentation/booklet for supporting service users are maintained and kept up to date
  • Ensure stores are maintained in line with purchasing procedure


Additional duties will include full liaison with multi agency providers, local authorise, Police and Emergency services (if required) The DWP and local council.

You will be responsible for managing and monitoring your own workloads, arranging cover where necessary and keeping thew wider housing team updated on all activities.

Advanced working knowledge of MS Office (Word, Outlook, Teams and Excel) are required.
