As a Trainee Funeral Director with William Purves, you will undertake a period of training and familiarisation with all aspects of the funeral trade in preparation to assume a Funeral Director role.
You will assist Funeral Directors to conduct funeral services, driving funeral vehicles in cortege and provide a 24 hour on call service as part of a rota system.

To undertake a period of training and familiarisation with all aspects of the funeral trade in preparation to assume a Funeral Director role.
Ensure the funeral fleet is presented to the highest standards of appearance, including regular valet and maintenance
Assist in the identification, removal and transport of the deceased in a dignified, caring and compassionate manner
Develop and maintain business relationships with external parties such as officiants, florists and crematoria staff and to be involved in marketing events.
Training and Development Commitments
During your initial year you will complete Emergency First Aid, Grief First Aid and Mental Health First Aid Training. After a successful training period you will progress onto working towards an NAFD Diploma in Funeral Directing.
