- £45,00-55,000 basic, depending on experience

What does the job involve?


The Associate Adviser works as part of a Collingwood engagement team to deliver programmes that transform clients' businesses, focusing on key aspects of growth strategy, from business planning, to sales and marketing development, to operational excellence.


Using Collingwood methodologies and tools, and drawing on its team of experts, you will help Scaleup clients address their most important challenges, while developing your own knowledge and expertise.

Training will be given on all key aspects of the role, helping develop your media sector and advisory expertise, as well as developing skills in key activities like market research.


You will:


  • Support fellow advisers to develop high quality, engaging client materials (from meeting agendas and presentations to detailed analytical reports), working across a range of client engagements and programmes
  • Undertake modelling and analysis (financial and commercial data), drawing out findings, and managing client data and documentation securely at all times
  • Undertake primary market research projects for clients (as part of their wider engagement), working with the Insights team to design and conduct high quality research and deliver impactful observations and recommendations
  • Support the creation of business development proposals and marketing materials (e.g. case studies, testimonials)
  • Work with the Product team to develop materials created into templates for wider use, and to share client and adviser needs to inform the template creation / product roadmap
  • Collaborate with client teams and Collingwood colleagues to ensure all programmes are delivered on target and to maximise value creation for the client
  • Attend regular programme meetings and be ready to provide updates on progress or highlight risks/issues to engagement leaders
  • Identify opportunities to grow the scope of Collingwood services in existing accounts by understanding the client's key challenges and identifying opportunities for additional Collingwood support
  • Act and deliver with integrity at all times and in line with Collingwood processes, procedures, culture and values

About you

We are looking for someone who has:

  • At least 3 years of experience of working in a B2B professional services environment delivering to clients in a project or engagement-based delivery model in a traditional consultancy or specialist agency (B2B marketing, subscriptions, sales)
  • Quantitative and qualitative research and analysis skills including excellent working knowledge of Excel/Google Sheets for data analysis and modelling
  • Ability to derive recommendations informed by data and insights, document assumptions and present conclusions persuasively and backed up by evidence
  • Ideally, knowledge of/demonstrable interest in the B2B digital media, publishing and events sectors
  • Experience working with senior teams in SME/scaleups
  • Technical and problemsolving skills
  • Communication, teamwork and stakeholder engagement skills
  • Excellent written and oral communication, able to convey complex ideas simply and clearly tailored to relevant audiences
  • Highly IT literate with productivity tools (e.g. Trello, Zoom, Teams) standard business software (Microsoft Office, G-Suite, CRM), and able to use Google Slides/PowerPoint to produce clear and engaging client presentations.
