Job Description:

This important role will see you assess and screen packages to prevent and mitigate possible threats.

Making your difference in security control and being security aware to help us maintain SeMS, you'll use screening technology, processes, and procedures to screen packages and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.

It's also about working efficiently to ensure a smooth running of operation and meeting tight and critical deadlines.


Your general activities will include:

  • Labelling Parcels
  • Scanning Parcels
  • Uploading information on to a Computer
  • Lifting and Moving Parcels
  • Operation of Xray machines
  • Working in a fastpaced Warehouse Environment
  • Loading and Unloading Parcels onto Xray machines, Conveyor belts and vehicles
  • Using a handheld scanner, Parcels will need to be scanned as they travel through the facility.
  • Responsible for using xray machines to identify dangerous objects in cargo and preventing those objects from being transported onto aircraft
  • Maintain focus and awareness within an environment containing numerous distractions, people and noise
  • Work within a demanding environment, time critical and the requirement to identify and locate potentially lifethreatening devices and devices intended on creating massive destruction
  • Make effective decisions in both crisis and routine situations

Qualifications:

  • Basic literacy & numeracy
  • Professional interest in safety and security
  • The ability to successfully pass security checks, e.g., 5 Year traceable work history, background & criminal records checks
  • Good judgement, decision making and good communication skills
  • Diligence and a keen eye for detail
