With 8 depots across the UK, M Group Services Plant & Fleet Solutions provide innovative plant and fleet asset management solutions across M Group Services.

We provide our business with more than
9,000 vehicles and over
25,000 owned or externally hired plant assets.

Our team has grown rapidly and we are responsible for the supply and management of specialist equipment and vehicles, supplying the Water, Energy, Transport, Data and Telecommunication sectors.

The team is responsible for the supply and management of specialist equipment and vehicles across the whole of M Group Services.

Supplying the Water, Transport, Energy and Telecoms sectors.

Who you are?
Do you have experience being responsible for the service maintenance and repair of a fleet of HGV, LCV and plant equipment?

Do you like a challenge? Are you keen to develop your skills? Do you enjoy finding solutions?

As the Yard Person, you'll get the opportunity to:

Ensure the yard area and workshop is kept clean and tidy
You will be responsible for parking of plant and vehicles in safe manor
Preparation, minor repairs, painting & steam cleaning of plant and vehicles
Forklift usage in the yard and workshop
Collection and delivery of vehicles
Working with the workshop staff the movement and preparation of plant
Facilitating of 3rd party working on site by service providers
Control of external collections and deliveries within the yard
On site control of M Group Services contracts using yard area facility
Daytoday communication across front and back office functions
Ensure that all Safely, Healthy, Environmental & Quality (SHEQ) policies and procedures are adhered to, adopting a safe method of working at all times

What you'll bring?

Previous experience as a Yard Operative or a similar role
The usage of steam cleaning equipment on plant and vehicles
Vehicle valeting and general preparation for hire
Driving licence essential
Fork Lift Licence 3 ton (Counter Balance) is desirable but training will be given
Yard day to day marshalling and control
Effective communication skills
