- Marketing Support: Collaborate with the institutional marketing team on sales pitch materials, updates, newsletters, brochures, conferences, and other content.
- Distribute relevant material produced by journalists, consultants, etc. (e.g., search trends, thought pieces, research, and surveys) to interested parties.
- Market Insights: Stay informed about market trends and pension fund behavior, providing internal stakeholders with critical insights that may influence product development or client relationships.
- CRM Management: Ensure effective use of CRM systems by Distribution staff, providing high-quality management information from various sources and increasing sales efforts through accurate prospect and client data maintenance.
- Familiarize yourself with relevant regulatory and corporate policies applicable to your role.
- In-depth knowledge of the asset gathering process in the UK Institutional Market.
- Previous experience in business development, demonstrating ability to develop productive relationships with existing and new prospects at various levels.
- Articulate different investment styles and sources of differentiation to potential investors.
- Able to identify prospect needs and suggest suitable solutions.
- Educated to degree level; IMC certification is a plus.
- Broad knowledge of major asset classes, such as fixed income, equities, multi-asset, alternatives, etc.
- Able to build deep relationships with key decision-makers and senior client influencers, understanding client issues and offering solutions.
- Effective teamwork and collaboration with colleagues to enhance the firm's reputation in the market.
- Able to prioritize and manage time effectively to proactively develop senior-level industry relationships.
- Strong written and verbal communication, presentation skills, attention to detail, and problem-solving abilities.
- Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to develop a network.
- A strong sense of teamwork and focus on client needs.
