Technical Sales Engineersought to join the District Heating division of an international manufacturer. This global company has 170 locations worldwide and supplies to a range of industries including construction, industrial and automotiveindustries.
If you are a qualified engineer with some commercial experience (non-sales), who is interested in moving into a sales role, looking for a change in career direction but still looking to utilise your technical skills we'd love to hear from you.
You will helpgenerate new business accounts through technical knowledge and training for their pre-insulated district heating network business across London and the South East including Northern Home Counties, Essex, East Anglia.
You'd be visiting customers in Londonapproximately once a week initially.As Technical Sales Engineer you will be responsible for:
- Achieving sales and profitability targets through financial, individual, KPI targets
- Ensuring regular planning and reporting through the Company's CRM system
- Dealing with key decision makers within Specifiers, Mechanical & Civil Contractors, and Merchants customers and eventually Energy Service Companies (ESCOs)
- Delivering training to contractors on the products including presentations and product demonstrations on site
- Responding to tender opportunities with the support of the internal bids team
- Selling through technical knowledge and training
The successful Sales Engineer will demonstrate:
- Engineering degree i.e. chemical, Mechanical or Electrical etc.
- Experience as one or more of the following: Estimator, Process Engineer, Product Engineer, Heating & Plumbing Engineer, Tooling Expert, Sheet Fabricator, Underfloor Heating Engineer, internal sales etc
- At least 23 years' commercial experience in an Engineering role
- Hungry to learn new skills, energetic and outgoing
- Experience of dealing with customers face to face solving technical issues or over the phone in a support or technical capacity
- Ability to perform presentations in a commercial environment as required
