Shop/Café Volunteer
Penicuik Storehouse is a community owned shop and cafe, stocking local and ethically sourced products. We provide a space for local crafters to sell their items, and a community space for local groups.


We are looking for people who have 3 hours a week to spare and would like to help out in our cafe or shop.

We welcome all volunteers and are flexible around accommodating our volunteers needs' and preferences. This is a great opportunity to enhance your CV, meet new people and learn new skills.


Main shop tasks include:


  • Serving customers at the till
  • Taking café orders
  • Keeping the shop and cafe clean and tidy
  • Restocking shelves, fridges and fresh products

Main café tasks include:


  • Making hot drinks using the coffee machine
  • Assisting with preparation of food and drinks
  • Serving food and drink to customers
  • Clearing and cleaning down tables and washing dishes and kitchen equipment.
Immediate start.


Job Types:
Part-time, Volunteer

Part-time hours: 3 per week
