Apprenticeship programme

During this Level 3 Engineering programme, we will help you to develop your practical skills and knowledge required for you to succeed in this role as well as your future career.

Throughout the 4- month programme, you will continue to develop your behaviourssuch as team working, problem-solving and customer focus. Veolia as a business is not only interested in what you accomplish, but the manner you do it.

As well as gaining a broad range of technical and professional knowledge and experience, you'll also gain academic and vocational qualifications such as a Level 3 Diploma, Level 3 Competency & Knowledge Skills Certificate, as well as H&S (IOSH) AwarenessTraining.

What will you be doing?

Working as a member of the maintenance team, the purpose of the role is to provide a high quality electrical & general maintenance service across the Birmingham Integrated Contract.
Assist with the installation, testing and maintenance of electrical wiring, equipment,
Assist with fault diagnosis using testing equipment,
Identifying hazards, defects and a requirement for adjustment or repair ensuring compliance with legislation and codes of practice,
Assist with the recording of any installation, small works, cyclical testing and repair works in line with industry standards.

What are we looking for?

A minimum of 4 GCSEs Grade 4 (C or equivalent) or above/predicted to include Maths & English
Full UK driving licence
Good communication skills
Ability to work as part of a team or independently with a suitable level of supervision
Good written and verbal communication skills
Logical thinker
Attention to detail
