Apprenticeship programme


During this Level 3 Engineering programme, we will help you to develop your practical skills and knowledge required for you to succeed in this role as well as your future career.

Throughout the 4- month programme, you will continue to develop your behaviourssuch as team working, problem-solving and customer focus. Veolia as a business is not only interested in what you accomplish, but the manner you do it.


As well as gaining a broad range of technical and professional knowledge and experience, you'll also gain academic and vocational qualifications such as a Level 3 Diploma, Level 3 Competency & Knowledge Skills Certificate, as well as H&S (IOSH) AwarenessTraining.


What will you be doing?

  • Working as a member of the maintenance team, the purpose of the role is to provide a high quality electrical & general maintenance service across the Birmingham Integrated Contract.
  • Assist with the installation, testing and maintenance of electrical wiring, equipment,
  • Assist with fault diagnosis using testing equipment,
  • Identifying hazards, defects and a requirement for adjustment or repair ensuring compliance with legislation and codes of practice,
  • Assist with the recording of any installation, small works, cyclical testing and repair works in line with industry standards.

What are we looking for?

  • A minimum of 4 GCSEs Grade 4 (C or equivalent) or above/predicted to include Maths & English
  • Full UK driving licence
  • Good communication skills
  • Ability to work as part of a team or independently with a suitable level of supervision
  • Good written and verbal communication skills
  • Logical thinker
  • Attention to detail
