Here at Serco we have a fantastic opportunity for a Head of Strategy to join our Group Strategy & Growth division and play a key role in supporting the Market Development Director and Chief Strategy & Growth Officer in the development and implementation of Serco's strategy and growth plans.

This is a pivotal leadership position and will advise senior strategy and Growth colleagues across the business, as well as supporting ExCom and Board.


In this position we are looking for an individual who is comfortable oscillating between the strategic and tactical and must be comfortable being hands on and 'getting stuff done'.

Research, analytical and quantitative skills are imperative for this role as the individual will play a key role in supporting activities such as deep analysis and recommendations on strategic plans, business development projects, acquisitions, competitive dynamics and future services or market development for the global business.

What you'll need to do the job

  • Ideally you will have at least 24 years experience within a strategy consulting business (such as McKinsey, BCG, Big 4 etc)
  • Ideally you will have worked in a senior strategy role inhouse with Global reach
  • Exceptional stakeholder management skills and ability to establish credibility with senior leaders across our Global business
  • Strong presentation skills and experienced at presenting at ExCom / board level
  • Numerate with strong market research techniques and use of data sets available for market and competitor analysis
  • Understanding of financial reporting and analysis
  • A strong academic record within a relevant discipline
