Description:
We have an exciting opportunity to join the NHS in County Durham and Darlington as a
Communications Support Officer.


The Communications
Support Officer will act independently in supporting the delivery of the communications and engagement strategy for the LIMS Programme as directed by the PMO Manager.

MAIN DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Attend meetings with or on behalf of the LIMS PMO central team to advise stakeholders and teams the best use of various media disciplines and approaches within a fastpaced, high tech, health care environment
  • Act as a reference point for communication queries and information and an advocate for best practices in the media field
  • Maintain processes to ensure project management documentation, reports and plans are relevant, accurate and complete
  • Complete data collation to track and report on performance, providing a comprehensive realtime and prioritised view of all activities
  • Required to collect data from multiple sources regularly, and analyse to provide statistical reports to the LIMS PMO central team using appropriate resources
  • Analysis of data with regard to multiple projects to highlight area of concern and escalate within the programme when necessary Building relationships with stakeholders to facilities sharing of lessons learned and best practices across the programme, but internally and externally.

PERSON SPECIFICATION

  • Educated to degree level or equivalent
  • Foundation level qualifications in industry standards, including PRINCE2 and MSP
  • A good knowledge of media and communication techniques and principles
  • Good knowledge of Project and Programme management standards
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills as well as excellent presentation skills, with the ability to conduct presentations to large groups
  • Strong relationship building skills
  • Experience of using MS Project and MS Office
  • A can do attitude and willingness to go that extra mile when required
  • Able to work with staff on many levels
This role will require travel independently across Trust sites, so must be a driver with own transport


JOB DETAILS

  • Monday to Friday 9am to 5pm


  • Start Date

  • ASAP
  • 3 month temporary contract, with possible extension
  • Car Drive Essential, as you will need the flexibility to spend time at other Trust sites, dependent on activity
