Position Overview
You will be a key part of the GFS Longevity Product team, whose function is to drive the expansion of the longevity product.
The Longevity team provides analytical expertise for the global development and data-driven solution in longevity product and pricing.
In this role you will support the development and implementation of initiatives in advancing our capabilities in longevity tools and processes, in longevity data warehousing in order to support longevity research, basis, predictive analytics, pricing and insights, in advancing the longevity geographically, and extending the longevity mandate.
This is a global role covering all longevity regions and is expected to work closely with a range of key stakeholders across our various longevity markets.
Global Financial Solutions' (GFS) line of business is one of RGA's fastest growing lines of business and accounts for over 50% of RGA's consolidated income.
Responsibilities Longevity Tools Development and Longevity Systems**- Work closely with actuaries and software engineers to design and develop longevity systems and tools, for use in longevity basis development, pricing and experience analysis. The objective is to bring the benefits of technology into the longevity areas and deliver efficiency, automation and scale.
- Direct actuaries and computer engineers to shape data management warehouses; identify datasets that are suitable for analytics and leads data retention and data purging
- This aspect of the role will involve working closely with software engineers, IT, research, and Longevity pricing and product teams.
Longevity Product
- Reshape and maintain the Longevity Product Mandate Identify and pull levers for sources of longevity earnings, and profits
- Develop expertise in various areas of longevity ranging from capital, research, pricing, regulatory to support and enhance the longevity product offering
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Math, Statistics, Actuarial Science, Data Science, Finance, Computer Science or related field
- Fellow of the Institute and Faculty of Actuaries or Society of Actuaries, or equivalent actuarial qualification
- Essential to have longevity or annuity pricing experience
- Knowledge of life insurance, longevity, and/or annuity products
- Experience in actuarial modelling software such as Prophet, MoSes, and/or AXIS
