Background


Trafford Domestic Abuse Services (TDAS) is a Quality accredited, registered charity offering support to individuals and families who are affected by domestic abuse since 1990.

We support families who live/work in the Trafford area and also provide IDVA and Children and Young People (CYP) support services in Salford.

We provide both intervention and prevention services and work in partnership with other voluntary organisations to support families across Greater Manchester.

Purpose of the role
To support the Income Generation of TDAS in raising funds from community, corporate and individual donors.


To expand the charity's funding base by identifying and developing sustainable income and partnership opportunities in line with the charity's priorities and the needs of victims of domestic abuse.


Main Duties

  • Recruit, manage and develop supporters (volunteers, partners, donors, fundraisers) to maximize fundraising income and support for TDAS.
  • Be the contact point for supporters and partners to ensure they are well informed, managed appropriately and feel valued. Develop and nurture new and existing relationships with corporate, group and individual supporters.
  • Maintain CRM system so that we have an accurate record of supporters (to help manage stewardship) as well as ability to extract engagement data
  • Ensure compliance with current Fundraising and Data legislation and ensure that all fundraising is carried out on an ethical basis.
  • Design and implement fundraising products and programmes for corporate, community and individual giving fundraising
  • Offer help to supporters taking part in community and sporting events (their own and/or those organised by third parties), ensuring participants are supported at each stage, and that events adhere to health and safely guidance
  • Research and identify corporate partners and fundraising groups in order to develop new and existing relationships, so generating income and donations "in kind" (specific items)
  • Create corporate fundraising packages for sponsorship/donation/CSR fundraising.
  • Work closely with the Volunteer & Training Coordinator and Community Development Officer on projects including social media campaigns
  • Ensure all donations are recorded through accurate financial processes and procedures, working with the finance team
  • Provide monthly fundraising and progress reports to CEO and finance team.
  • Provide regular updates to the CEO on income revenue and engagement
  • Write and produce quarterly supporter newsletter, and strive to increase the readership
  • Contribute to TDAS income generation and fundraising strategy
  • Research other future avenues of charity giving, such as cause related marketing, in memory giving, legacy gifts and monthly donations?
  • Be able to work some flexible hours as required in line with the demands of the role (for example, evening and weekend events)
  • To adhere to the Code of Conduct at all times.
  • Undertake any other reasonable duties as requested by the Chief Executive Officer and the Trustees, commensurate with the grade and job title of this post.

  • Work with the Chief Executive Officer and other staff members to

  • To attend staff meetings when required
  • To work in line with, and follow, the policies and procedures of TDAS.
  • To ensure that all TDAS policies and procedures are implemented and
- promoted by staff.

  • To actively promote diversity in the organisation.
  • To act as an ambassador for and represent the TDAS at external
- functions.

  • To represent TDAS on local and regional forums.
  • To build positive relationships and partnerships with key local agencies
  • To embody TDAS's values and act as a role model.
  • To participate actively in the management team, contributing to the strategic development of the organisation.
  • To undertake any other duties as may be deemed consistent with the requirements of the post.
