We are currently seeking an HR Advisor to join our HR team to cover maternity leave.

The purpose of the HR Advisor position is to provide guidance and support to both employees and management in various HR-related matters.

This includes but is not limited to recruitment and selection, employee relations, performance management, training and development, compensation and benefits, and HR policies and procedures.

The role is hybrid and is contracted to work a 37.5-hour week, core times being 8.30am -5 pm.

The role will be predominantly home based, however, the postholder will be required to attend Head Office and travel to depots.


Your day will look like this:

  • Advising management and staff on HR policies and procedures.
  • HR coordination and administration.
  • Managing employee relations, including handling grievances and conducting exit interviews.
  • Ensuring compliance with employment law and internal policies.
  • Assisting with performance management processes, including performance reviews and disciplinary actions.
  • Developing and implementing HR initiatives aligned with the organisation's strategic goals.
  • Coordinating training and development activities.
  • Maintaining employee records in accordance with privacy regulations.
  • Providing advice and guidance on compensation and benefits.
  • Contributing to the continuous improvement of HR systems and practices.
  • Collaborating with other departments or functions (payroll, benefits etc.)

How you can help us with your experience:

  • Proven work experience as an HR Advisor, HR Consultant, or similar role
  • Strong knowledge of employment legislation and HR best practices.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong decisionmaking and problemsolving skills.
  • Proficient in HR software (HRIS, ATS, etc.).
  • Ability to handle sensitive information with discretion and maintain confidentiality.
  • Excellent organisational and timemanagement skills.
  • Full clean UK driving licence.
  • Right to work in the UK.
