We're looking for a dynamic Storage Lead Manager to join our agriculture team to play a pivotal role in revolutionising how we store and deliver the planet-friendly potatoes that create the best frozen potato products that McCain is known for.


ABOUT THE ROLE.


As our Storage Lead, you will be at the forefront of driving innovation and excellence in all aspects of potato storage.

Collaborating with our regional Agriculture leadership team, the Director, Agronomy & Applied Research, and a network of agriculture professionals, you'll define and execute McCain's storage strategy.

Your contribution will be critical in ensuring a continuous and resilient supply of top-quality potatoes from grower and storage facilities to our factories.


What You'll Do:


  • Foster a positive safety culture throughout the Agriculture department and with our valued growerpartners.
  • Drive McCain's Agriculture strategy, including Sustainable Cost Advantage initiatives, variety portfolio expansion, and storage loss reduction.
  • Collaborate with global and regional teams to align storage strategies, initiatives, and KPIs, ensuring effective execution of action plans.
  • Engage with regional leadership and stakeholders to optimise storage strategy, minimising enterprise risk.
  • Actively participate in McCain's digital transformation agenda, utilising cuttingedge tools to optimise stored potato quality.
  • Lead the development of bestinclass storage training programs, empowering our team and growerpartners with the latest practices.


This is a great opportunity for someone to work with over 200+ growers in GB, working alongside a Global team to drive the innovation of potato storage, making an impact on the way we do business, but also impacting the environment we live in by driving our sustainability commitments.


ABOUT YOU.


We are looking for someone who has experience of managing a large volume of potatoes or root vegetables with a technical background in storage.

You must also have

  • Expertise in potato storage operations and tech adoption to the forefront of innovation.
  • A knack for driving change and innovation, someone who thrives on pushing boundaries.
  • Proven ability to orchestrate harmony across crossfunctional teams and stakeholders. Your collaboration skills are the secret sauce to success.
  • Proficiency in extracting insights from data using cuttingedge tools. Your techsavvy approach ensures our strategies are always on point.
  • Ability to speak the language of success with excellent verbal and written communication skills ensuring your words inspire action.
  • The ability to anticipating needs and challenges ensuring your organisational skills keep everything in check.
  • Fluency in technologyWindows, Microsoft Office, and beyond your tech knowledge is vast, and you're always ready to learn something new.
  • Be able to demonstrate your adaptability and collaborative style seamlessly, respecting the needs and contributions of every team member.
  • The passion to embrace a digital, datadriven mindset, obsessed with both customer satisfaction and the magic of data.
  • Strong crossfunctional and departmental relationships.
  • A valid driver's licence.

WHERE WILL I WORK?


We are open to speaking to people based in the regions near to either our Scarborough (North Yorkshire) or Whittlesey plants (Peterborough).

Your role will be home based but will require for you to travel across our manufacturing network including our Head Office in North Yorkshire.
