Our client, based in
Lisburn is seeking a
Finance and Administration Clerk to join their busy team.

The purpose of the Finance and Administration Clerk is to support the team with accountancy assistance.


Pay Rate:
£12.26 Per Hour + Holiday Pay


Working Hours: 20hrs per week, worked over 4/5 days per week (Monday to Friday), start and end times of shifts can be discussed but there is flexibility.


Job Type:
Part Time, Long Term


Job Duties:


  • Supporting the Contract Accountant in controlling all aspects of the finance function through accurate and timely reporting both to the customer and the company.
  • Management of purchasing process via Oracle
  • Raising invoices and monitoring debtor balances and working with the required colleagues to complete tasks
  • Completing company month end balance sheets and open book reconciliations
  • Communicating effectively daily with internal and external customers.
  • Contributing towards the improvement of processes/methods of operating practises within the department.
  • Assisting colleagues within the team on an adhoc basis (mainly People Assistant cover which includes payroll activities when they are on leave)
  • To undertake such additional duties as may be reasonably required for the effective role within the team.
  • Providing general administration support for the General Manager.

Job Criteria:


  • Experience of working in a finance team as a Finance administrator or Purchase Ledger Clerk would be preferable however all relevant experience will be considered
  • Strong numerical and literacy skills in English are essential
  • High level of Microsoft Office skills especially in MS Excel
  • Excellent communication skills and confident in dealing with problems and challenges
  • Must have a flexible and adaptable approach to demands and changes in work activity
  • Motivated to be able to work under pressure and the ability to meet tight deadlines / accounting schedules
  • A knowledge of finance systems and balance sheet reconciliation process would be desirable
  • Oracle system experience desirable
  • Ability to work as part of a team with a positive attitude
  • Enthusiastic, flexible, reliable and highly organised
  • Previous finance experience essential.
