DGS are looking for a talented multi-skilled maintenance technician/builders mate to join the team working within the following areas - Bristol/Bath/Swindon/Gloucester and South Wales areas.

About us

DGS is an established building and landscaping firm, trading for the last 37 years in the Bristol area, and looking for someone who is experienced, shows flexibility, copes well with pressure and enjoys the challenges working for property management companies bring.

Main duties include:

• To assist in providing high standards of maintenance across multi trades including carpentry repairs, roofing works, locks, hard and soft landscaping.
• To assist with window repairs and renewals.
• To assist with inspecting and diagnosing faults and repairs.
• To assist completion of minor and major repairs in residential properties.
• Ensure all health and safety legislation is followed i.e. use of inhouse programme to complete risk assessments, vehicle checks and pre use checks of equipment.
• Expectation to participate in an oncall rota for out of hours emergencies.
• Company van and phone provided.
• Payroll on monthly basis.
• Pension scheme.

About you

• Strong understanding of risk assessments
• Ability to determine the most costeffective solutions to repairs without sacrificing on quality.
• Good communication and customer service skills
• Be confident and comfortable in using technology to communicate
• Have excellent written and spoken English
• Must be able to work on own initiative and work in a small team, but complete certain tasks on your own
• The work is varied and will involve moving around from property to property so a full driving licence essential.
• CRB check may be also required.
