PURPOSE OF THE ROLE
The Close Protection Tutor at NGTC plays a crucial role in imparting specialised training and knowledge in close protection. This position is integral to the NGTC's mission of delivering high-quality courses, with a strong focus on learner-centric services.

The tutor will be responsible for preparing students to achieve their qualifications in close protection, ensuring they develop the necessary skills and understanding for success in this field.


MAIN DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

Course Delivery: Conduct and deliver approved close protection courses, ensuring that teaching methods are effective, engaging, and meet the learning objectives.

Student Assistance: Aid students in acquiring the requisite skills for their specific qualifications in close protection, providing guidance and support throughout their learning journey.

Examination and Evaluation: Responsible for marking and evaluating students' examination papers, providing constructive feedback, and assessing their readiness for qualification.

Record Maintenance: Keep accurate records of students' attendance, progress, and outcomes, ensuring all data is up-to-date and securely stored for reference and reporting purposes.


ESSENTIAL CRITERIA FOR CANDIDATES:


  • Must hold a recognised Assessor award (D32/33, A1, CAVA, or TAQA).
  • Must possess a recognised Teaching Award (PTLLS, AET, or equivalent).
  • Specialised qualifications for close protection training, including Level 3 Delivery of Conflict Management Training, Level 3 Award for Deliverers of Physical Intervention Training for Close Protection Operatives, and a current certificate from an approved Level 3 programme provider for close protection physical intervention.
  • Proven experience, knowledge, and understanding of the private security industry or relevant sectors such as armed services, police service, security industry, or prison service.
  • Must possess a valid driving license and have access to a vehicle, with flexibility in travel and working hours.

Expertise in Close Protection: In-depth knowledge and practical experience in close protection and related fields.

Communication and Mentoring Skills: Strong ability to communicate effectively, inspire, and mentor students.

Organisational Ability: Excellent organisational skills to manage course materials, student records, and schedules efficiently.


This role is suited for an individual passionate about safety in spectator events and committed to the professional development of others in this critical field.

Based in Greater Manchester, New Generation Training and Consultancy (NGTC) has been trading since 2008 predominately delivering funded and full-cost recovery programmes.


Providing training within the security and events sectors, we are regularly attending major sporting and music events at venues, as we partner with some of the biggest employers in the country.


Our core curriculum intent is centred on the endpoint of progressing our learners into sustainable employment within the security and night-time economy.

Our main qualifications include Spectator Safety and Door Supervisor, but we also deliver a range of education and training qualifications starting at level 3 up to level 5.
