My client Global Financial Client is looking for a Lead Cloud Site Reliability Platform Engineer to join their team to focus on keeping their bank services running whilst simultaneously supporting programme timescales and business outcomes.

This will be a Hybrid working model.

Lead Cloud Site Reliability Platform Engineer Responsibilities:
Â

Keeping products evergreen and reliable as cloud technologies continue to move at a fast pace.

Supporting their customers during office hours and also as part of their 24/7 out of hours callout rota which includes investigating and fixing services issues using engineering principles via code changes.

Delivering improvements to their products by reducing manual effort and work, automating processes which controls to drive better products and gives their customers a better experience.

Helping improve their facilities in areas such as observability, automation and collaboration.

Having the ability to resolve incidents and problems, providing logical approach to tackling problems, using data to drive the right decisions.

Lead Cloud Site Reliability Responsibilities:

Some practical experience of public cloud technology in either GCP, Azure or AWS.
Able to review, update and write code in a language/script, such as Python, Groovy, BASH, HCL.
Understand the software development lifecycle and some knowledge of automation tooling.
Automating away manual work.
Some knowledge of understanding of Cloud security and networking.
