Overview:
We are seeking a team player with accounts experience to join our family run business as a Bookkeeper.
Internal systems training will be given where required, however you must have a solid bookeeping foundation for this role. This role is perfect for someone who can manage their time well and re-prioritise daily.
Responsibilities:
- Maintain accurate and uptodate financial records
- Process accounts payable and accounts receivable transactions/credit control
- Reconcile bank statements
- Prepare financial reports, including balance sheets, Profit & Loss, and cash flow statements
- Submit returns to HMRC (VAT, PAYE,CIS)
- Assist with budgeting and forecasting
- Ensure compliance with financial regulations and company policies
- Assist with payroll processing and journal entries.
- Assisting with answering calls in a professional and polite manner.
- Perform general administrative tasks as needed
Qualifications:
- Proven experience as a Bookkeeper or in a similar role
- Proficient in using accounting Sage
- Strong understanding of basic accounting principles
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy
- Strong organizational skills and ability to prioritize tasks
- Ability to work independently and meet deadlines
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal

Job Types:

Pay:
£26,000.00-£29,000.00 per year
Expected hours: 30 per week
