Commercial Manager/Junior National Account Manager
Salary circa £30k - £50k dependent on skills and experience + bonus

Leeds City Centre Car Parking provided

4 days Office based 1 day home

25 days holiday

With over 120 supply partners based all around the world, our client delivers across five core services including Global Product Sourcing, Category Innovation & Development, Robust Technical Solutions, Brand Management and Storage & Distribution.

The Role

  • Lead Contacts across multiple categories
  • Ability to Network and Influence throughout the Retail Matrix Space
  • Full P&L accountability
- understanding influence on the whole business and the wider impact of commercial decisions

  • Naturally confident in dealing with peers and cross functional colleagues, as well as dealing with the Board members internally and Senior Management externally
  • Ability to be able to reason and rationalise complex business scenarios; can manage the needs and demands of both internal strategies and external requirements by being able to demonstrate the balance of both
  • Understand a very complicated supply base & supplier strategy
  • Application of Category Management; influence the necessary strategies to deliver category/profit growth by delivery to the consumer needs
  • Negotiate annual Joint Business Plans (JBPs)
  • Strong experience in handling Cost Price Increases
  • Drive distribution of existing and new products
  • Manage product mix to maximise margin
  • Manage effective communication of NPD & Category Solutions

Internally you will be challenged to deliver:

  • Leadership / Project Management / Accountability
  • Set the Account Vision/Direction
  • Become a longterm ambassador for the business internally & externally


Whilst you will be fully supported by the Commercial Director to whom you report; the emphasis will very much be on you to show how you can deliver and grow the Business.

The categories in which the role operates brings both challenges of leading NPD andCategory initiatives requirements and a Growth focused environment where strength of character is key.

The business operates a very flat structure, but offers successful employees a clear career path which will enable them to operate across multiple categoriesaccessing over 120 supply partners.
