We're hiring a QSE Manager on behalf of a leading Construction Product Manufacturer and Distributor based in Daventry, Northamptonshire. The role is a key appointment for the business as it leads all site QSE activity.

Remuneration:
Salary: £45-£50K Benefits: Life Assurance, 25 days holiday, Pension

Working Hours:
Monday - Friday 08:30am - 5pm

Role Overview:

Main Responsibilities include:
Development and ownership of QSE System.

  • Conduct internal audits.
  • Management reviews of system.
  • Continual improvement of system.
  • Customer complaints (NCRs) analysis.
  • Measuring equipment calibration & verification.


  • Monitor & Measure

  • Customer complaints, Supplier performance.
  • Waste transfer & consignment notes.


  • Monitor & Measure

  • Utilities / energy / water / gas (aspects), waste weights.
  • Legal compliance.
  • Training
  • Packaging Waste Return.
  • Risk assessments.


  • Monitor & Measure

  • Accidents, dust levels, noise levels, occupational health.
  • Check emergency systems (e.g., first aid kits, number of first aiders, evacuation drill, etc)
  • Investigate accidents.
  • Statutory inspections ensure they are done.
  • Training
- e.g., Manual Handling, chemical awareness (COSHH), emergency drills

  • Legal compliance
  • H&S consultation / safety meeting / H&S Forum
Qualifications & Experience

  • Strong practical skills particularly within an ISO9001 environment, Continuous Improvement activities and Lean principles.
  • Experience in a similar role gained within a Manufacturing environment.
  • Expert knowledge of QSE management.
  • Flexible and adaptable to an everchanging business environment.
  • Commercially aware and innovative.
  • Experience in the implementation and management of ISO 14001, 9001 and 45001 / 18001 Management Systems.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of current HSE legislation, approved codes of practice and best practice.
