ResLifeBU is a student led programme of activities and services focusing on the enablement and development of inclusive and self-supporting student communities within BU's student accommodation.


ResLifeBU has three core aims of providing:

inclusive events and activities that assist with the process of social integration; wellbeing information and guidance to assist with the ups and downs of transitioning into university life, as well as support with the development of the skills required for independent living.


The role of Marketing & Communications Coordinator is an exciting opportunity to join the team and support the core day to day operations, primarily through coordinating social media and marketing communications support as well as general and administrative duties required for the delivery of the ResLifeBU programme.


You will create and deliver digitally aesthetic presentations and marketing reports, assist with any photoshoots and film days, create, and edit written content for various channels such as student blogs or newsletters, and attend ResLifeBU activities and events to capture and produce content for use in the promotion.

Administrative tasks include providing day to day duties required for the effective delivery of the ResLifeBU programme, such as receipting and ordering equipment and services, and procuring and administering the purchasing of resources.


This position is available on a fixed-term basis for 12 months (July 2023 to June 2024).

This position does not meet the eligibility requirements for sponsorship under the Skilled Worker Route within the UK Visa and Immigration service's Points Based System
. Therefore, BU will not be able to sponsor individuals who require permission to work to carry out this position.

THIS POSITION IS OPEN TO BOURNEMOUTH UNIVERSITY STUDENTS CURRENTLY STUDYING, AND THOSE WHO HAVE GRADUATED FROM BOURNEMOUTH UNIVERSITY WITHIN THE LAST 2 YEARS ONLY.
