Description
Our client has a requirement for a Project Surveyor to join their team based in Aberdeen, Scotland.
The job holder will report to the Survey Manager and be required to provide expertise during all phases of projects, and ensure projects are performed safely and efficiently.
MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES
- Assisting with bids and proposals
- Determining project requirements
- Keeping up to date with survey technology and methodologies
- Liaising with clients, subcontractors and suppliers
- Participating in project meetings, operation reviews and HIRAs as required
- Conducting yard visits and overseeing dimensional control operations
- Reviewing client SOW requirements
- Reviewing contract requirements
- Producing clear and concise project procedures
- Ensuring projects have the appropriate and necessary equipment, engineering and personnel to meet requirements
- Oversee subcontractors and equipment providers as required
- Relaying information to operations and engineering departments
- Supporting projects during operational phase
- Provide guidance to offshore personnel relating to Client requirements
- Provide technical support and input during tendering
- Review Client scope of works and job specific requirements
- Participate in job planning and risk assessment meetings
- Support Engineering Manager with job specific requirements
- Create job specific procedures for Survey specific work scopes
- Liaise with Operations and Engineering departments
- Ensure procedural requirements adhere to legal and project HSE requirements.
- Represent the company at Client HIRA and safety meetings
- Ensure HSEQ considerations are captured in job specific procedures
KEY REQUIREMENTS
- Qualified supervisor in operative discipline e.g. Party Chief
- Sound knowledge and understanding of organisational and legislative procedures and requirements
- Ability to make decisions and communicate effectively with all levels of personnel
- Current offshore medical, survival and safety certificates
