Description
Our client, an independent family run accountancy firm, are recruiting for apart-time Accounts Administratorto join their team.
We require you to work approximately 20 hours over at least 4 days of a week within the office.
Duties include:
- Filing signed personal tax returns
- Checking HMRC to computations post submission
- Filing accounts with HMRC and Companies House
- Checking receipt HMRC and Companies house
- VAT returns on a quarterly basis
- Book keeping (monthly or quarterly depending on frequency that client supplies this) using QuickBooks Desktop, QuickBooks online and Xero
- Ensuring deadlines are met
- Maintaining job tracking
- Checking and scanning data and documents
- Answering the phone when others unable to
- Maintaining own timesheets on the timekeeping system on a daily basis
- Liaising with clients in respect of their bookkeeping including requesting information
- To maintain working papers in a neat and tidy fashion
- To maintain clients records in a neat and tidy fashion
- To keep abreast of any changes in the software systems used
- To keep abreast of all training requirements for yourself
- Reporting to the Semi Senior / Principal with any issues arising
- Recording all necessary conversations and points on our virtual cabinet and informing other staff members as necessary
- To follow the policies and procedures of the Practice
- The setting up working paper folder for the client, copying data and files, ensuring that all files are set up uniformly
- Creating spreadsheets when necessary
- Any other given tasks that may arise as directed by the Principal.
- Assist senior team members with company secretarial work
- Assist senior team members with yearend bank reconciliations and CIS / PAYE reconciliation
