Role Description:


  • The role of Hotel Receptionist is responsible for managing the front desk operations of the hotel.
  • This includes greeting guests, checking them in and out of the hotel, and providing them with information about the hotel and local area.
  • The receptionist is also responsible for handling guest complaints, answering phone calls, and taking reservations.

The main responsibilities of the Hotel Receptionist include:


  • Greeting guests upon arrival and checking them into the hotel.
  • Checking guests out of the hotel and processing their payments.
  • Answering phone calls and taking reservations.
  • Handling guest complaints and resolving issues.
  • Providing guests with information about the hotel and local area.
  • Keeping the front desk and lobby area clean and organized.
  • Maintaining accurate guest information in the hotel's computer system.
  • Assisting with other tasks as needed.

Qualifications & Requirements:


  • They should also have strong computer skills and be able to navigate hotel management software.
  • A high school diploma or equivalent is typically required, although a college degree in hospitality management or a related field may be preferred.
  • The receptionist should be able to communicate effectively with guests, coworkers, and management.
  • They should be able to speak clearly and write concisely, as well as understand and respond to verbal and written requests.
  • They should be able to speak English and any language that the guest speaks would be considered as great.
Overall, the Hotel Receptionist plays a vital role in ensuring that guests have a positive experience at the hotel.

They are the first point of contact for guests and are responsible for making sure that their stay is enjoyable and comfortable.
