Role Description:
- The role of Hotel Receptionist is responsible for managing the front desk operations of the hotel.
- This includes greeting guests, checking them in and out of the hotel, and providing them with information about the hotel and local area.
- The receptionist is also responsible for handling guest complaints, answering phone calls, and taking reservations.
The main responsibilities of the Hotel Receptionist include:
- Greeting guests upon arrival and checking them into the hotel.
- Checking guests out of the hotel and processing their payments.
- Answering phone calls and taking reservations.
- Handling guest complaints and resolving issues.
- Providing guests with information about the hotel and local area.
- Keeping the front desk and lobby area clean and organized.
- Maintaining accurate guest information in the hotel's computer system.
- Assisting with other tasks as needed.
Qualifications & Requirements:
- They should also have strong computer skills and be able to navigate hotel management software.
- A high school diploma or equivalent is typically required, although a college degree in hospitality management or a related field may be preferred.
- The receptionist should be able to communicate effectively with guests, coworkers, and management.
- They should be able to speak clearly and write concisely, as well as understand and respond to verbal and written requests.
- They should be able to speak English and any language that the guest speaks would be considered as great.
They are the first point of contact for guests and are responsible for making sure that their stay is enjoyable and comfortable.
A professional, friendly, and efficient receptionist can make a significant impact on the overall reputation and success of the hotel.
