What's the role?


Reporting to the Asset Administration Manager, the Senior Stock Administrator is responsible for being the first line of support for the stock team.


The role will require day to day maintenance of relevant systems and raising of documentation and reports to allow efficient processing.

Including daily schedules, POD, communication to other departments, chasing up collections, dispatches, reporting any anomalies, etc. Liaising closely with the warehouse team in ensuring all requests are ready for dispatch as per the working schedule. You will also support the stock lead with day to day management of the stock team.


Work Schedule - Monday to Friday, 40 hours per week

06:00-14:30 / 08:00-16:30


Key responsibilities:


  • Reporting to the Asset Administration Manager on site and working alongside the Warehouse Team in ensuring the full process is adhered to from start to finish.
  • To update and maintain relevant systems & spreadsheets.
  • To maintain high standards of data input, adjustments and reporting to enable system integrity.
  • To take initiative and comfortably respond to any queries, escalating if necessary, working closely with others and using own initiative.
  • To assist the Lead Stock Controller in carrying out stock checks at month end working with the warehouse team, in ensuring all data is collated and passed on accordingly.
  • Reporting to and working with the stock team to ensure physical stockholding across all SMS locations is accurately reflected within the stock system.
  • Working with all Warehouse depots on stock levels, looking at short falls and ensuring stock levels are replenished to fulfil orders.
  • To maintain high standards of data accuracy in relation to stock adjustments and stock allocation.
  • Creating picking lists for the warehouse using information from many sources.
  • Ordering specialist stock items, tracking delivery dates and communicating with other business areas to minimise the impact of any stock shortages.
  • To take initiative and comfortably respond to any queries, working closely with other members of the stock team to resolve, and escalating if necessary
  • Liaising daily with customers, planning and scheduling teams, subcontractors and transport & warehouse functions.
  • To complete adhoc duties that supports both the function and the business as and when requested.
  • To step up into any role to cover any holiday cover, sickness if required

To be considered for this role, we would love you to have:

  • Experience in Stock Control and/or Logistics
  • Knowledge of Stock/Admin/ skills, working within a Warehouse environment, able to work with others and own initiative, working in accordance with daily schedules.
  • Strong Microsoft and excel skills
  • Ability to work in a busy and demanding environment without sacrificing quality or breaching H&S Rules and Regulations
