The Role


We have a new, exciting opportunity to join the Arboricultural Department as an Arboricultural Consultant to assist with, and carry out Arboricultural surveys and reports across the U.K.


The role will involve:

  • Undertaking BS 5837 surveys and producing relevant guidance and reports for planning.
  • Undertaking Tree Condition Surveys and reports including hazard / risk assessment.
  • Searching for and reviewing Statutory Protections related to trees.
  • Working with team members to develop new services highlighting the benefits of trees.
  • Opportunity to undertake further training to assist your role.
  • LANTRA Professional Tree Inspector (PTI) certification.
  • NQF Level 3 Arboricultural qualification or similar.
  • Experience in tree surveying.
  • Confidence in planning and managing relevant tasks.
  • Good report writing skills and experience delivering reports.
  • Experience in using relevant computer software.
  • FdSc, BSc or higher qualification in arboriculture and / or forestry.
  • Professional knowledge of BS 5837:2012 Trees in relation to design, demolition and constructionRecommendations.
  • Ability to produce basic maps and plans using AutoCAD, ArcView GIS or similar.
