Medical Receptionist


Duties:


  • Greet and checkin patients as they arrive at the clinic, take payments and reappoint.
  • Answer phone calls and schedule appointments using the office's phone system
  • Collect patient information and update electronic medical records
  • Verify insurance coverage and process necessary paperwork
  • Assist with patient inquiries and provide general information about the office and services
  • Coordinate with medical staff to ensure smooth patient flow and efficient operations
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization of the reception area, clinic rooms &restocking.

Skills:


  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
  • Proficient in operating phone systems and handling multiple phone lines
  • Strong organizational skills with attention to detail
  • Ability to multitask and prioritize tasks in a fastpaced environment
  • Knowledge of medical terminology and procedures is preferred
  • Familiarity with electronic medical records systems is a plus

The Role You'll Play:

As our Receptionist, you'll be the friendly face that greets our patients, making them feel welcome from the moment they step through our doors.

Whether it's over the phone or in person, you'll be their first point of contact, providing information, scheduling appointments, and addressing their needs with a smile.

Tech Savviness: Proficiency in Microsoft Office 365 is a must. From managing schedules to maintaining digital records, your tech skills will keep things running smoothly.

Charming Telephone Etiquette: Your warm and professional telephone manner will be the voice of our clinic. You'll handle inquiries, schedule appointments, and offer reassurance, all while maintaining a positive attitude.
You will be calling patients to follow up and collect outcomes.

Set 13.5 Hours required per week (additional by arrangement).

Monday 5-7.15pm

Wednesday 8:30am-1:00pm

Thursday 5-7:15pm

Saturday 8:30am-1:15pm

(Tuesdays 5-6:45pm as required)

Ability to cover other times as extra shifts during team holiday periods is essential.

Interviews are WK 4th Sept

Start date is 8th October with two weeks supervised training.

One year employed contract with a view to extend.


Job Types:
Part-time, Temporary contract

Contract length: 12 months

Part-time hours: 13.5 per week


Salary:
£10.50 per hour


Ability to commute/relocate:

  • Bristol, BS37 6DA: reliably commute or plan to relocate before starting work (required)
