What to Expect- The Grid Connections Specialist supports all aspect of grid connections for the United Kingdom and Ireland's charging business. The Grid Connection Specialist seeks to streamline and improve the feasibility, request, design, and energization process and realize timeline optimizations which enable the team to deploy chargers more quickly and efficiently. They will be responsible for building and maintaining relationship with all our DNO and IDNO partners.
- Continuously improve grid connections process for full charging station portfolio from feasibility to energization
- Advise project developers and deployment managers with technical assistance throughout the life of the project.
- Develop and maintain contacts with key DNOs, IDNOs, and governmental agencies related to the grid connection and overall deployment process.
- Support EMEA Energy Analyst team with local projects, initiatives, and needs.
- Support UK Policy team with code, incentive, or program review and advice.
- 35 years relevant experience in grid and electrical connections
- Experience with DNOs & IDNOs
- In depth understanding of managing new connections across 1133kV networks
- Superb organizational skills with strong multitasking abilities
- Highly energetic personality with an ability to function autonomously in a fastpaced environment with changing priorities
- Impeccable communication skills, both writing and speaking ability to communicate effectively to a wide range of individuals
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and Sharepoint
